GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 675638
Add/Remove Software isn't a good name
Last modified: 2012-08-13 14:13:10 UTC
* The "/" seems weird to me * It is ellipsized in the overview * It isn't easy to "say"
Got any better ideas? "Add and Remove Software"?
Souldn't it be 'Add _or_ Remove...' ?
It's the two verbs that seem strange to me. It's way too specific (and inaccurate - there's plenty of other things you can do with it).
Looking around its neighborhood in the 'System Tools' Category: Configuration Viewer Log File Viewer Disk Space Analyzer Power Statistics Software Update System Settings Something like 'Software Installer' or 'Software Installation' would fit much better in there.
Software. https://live.gnome.org/Design/Apps/Software
Version 3.5.4 seems to be called "Install Software". You can clearly do more than "install" with this... can we just call it "Software", please?!
