GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 675508
gnome-documents doesn't show ODS spreadsheets
Last modified: 2012-11-20 16:59:32 UTC
When trying to open an ODS spreadsheet with gnome-documents the following error message is shown: "Error invoking Gd.pdf_loader_load_uri_finish: Fehler beim Öffnen der Datei: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden"
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 671169 ***
Sorry, I hit enter too early...the fact that the message says "file not found" makes me think your tracker database for local files is not up to date. Can you run 'tracker-control' from a terminal and paste the output here? Did you perhaps disable tracker indexing of files?
$ tracker-control Found 168 PIDs… Prozesskennung 11002 für »tracker-miner-fs« gefunden Prozesskennung 11027 für »tracker-store« gefunden Speichern: 09 Mai 2012, 00:36:43: ✓ Store - Leerlauf Indizierer: 09 Mai 2012, 00:36:43: ✗ Flickr - Läuft nicht oder Plugin ist deaktiviert 09 Mai 2012, 00:36:43: ✓ Dateisystem - Leerlauf 09 Mai 2012, 00:36:43: ✗ E-Mails - Läuft nicht oder Plugin ist deaktiviert 09 Mai 2012, 00:36:43: ✓ Anwendungen - Leerlauf But the error still occours.
Weird...does this happen for every ODS file or just for one file? What's the name of the file (e.g. does it contain special characters)? What's the output of 'tracker-info /path/to/the/file.ods' from a terminal?

(In reply to comment #5) > And no, there are no special characters within the filename or path and ATM it > happens only to this file as far I can see Data looks okay; is there any chance you can attach the problematic file here?
Created attachment 216137 [details] ODS-File which is not openable
I just tested on my machine (Arch Linux with latest stable Gnome 3.4) with the spreadsheet supplied by Heiko, and gnome documents sucessfully displays the document contents.
Cosimo, any chance you can investigate a little?
Not sure what's left to investigate here...I just tried to reproduce the bug now. I downloaded the attached ODS, started Documents and it showed up right on top as it should be. Alexander's comment #8 also makes me think this is a configuration problem, not a Documents bug. Heiko, do you still reproduce this bug on GNOME 3.6?
Sorry, but I don't use Gnome anymore at the moment.
Okay; since this appears to work fine here, I'm going to close this bug as INCOMPLETE. If you have the chance to try to reproduce it again and it's still there, feel free to reopen this report.
