Description Xavier Claessens 2012-04-13 14:45:58 UTC
1. Mark a contact as a favourite (or select an existing favourite).
2. Edit them and mark them as *not* a favourite. They disappear from the
favourites group as expected.
3. Go offline and online again. They reappear in the favourites group.

This is probably logger's fault not emitting change notification, but reporting it here for now, for confirmation.

Isn't this the same issue as bug #671662 and/or https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26823 ?

Nope, it occurs equally reproducibly with normal (non-Facebook) XMPP accounts.

Xavier,

I'm getting the exact opposite issue here currently when I tried to recreate this issue. I can set contacts as favourite and it seems to stick, but when I set it as not favourite, click close then edit the same contact they are still favourite in the dialog. Quitting empathy and restarting it they are correctly not favourite anymore.

This is bug #677633

Now that bug #677633 has been fixed, it might be worth re-testing this, since bug #677633 was a fairly major problem with Tpf.Logger.
