GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 673127
error: Rate doesn't match (requested 24000Hz, get 0Hz)
Last modified: 2012-03-31 09:23:46 UTC
I tried playing a podcast through my external sound card and I get the following gstreamer error when setting the pipeline: ~ $ gst-launch-0.10 playbin2 uri=file:///home/hrvoje/Downloads/moth.mp3 audio-sink="audioconvert ! audioresample ! rgvolume ! volume ! level ! volume ! equalizer-10bands ! rglimiter ! audioresample ! alsasink device=hw:0,0" Setting pipeline to PAUSED ... Pipeline is PREROLLING ... ERROR: from element /GstPlayBin2:playbin20/GstPlaySink:playsink0/GstBin:abin/GstBin:bin0/GstAlsaSink:alsasink0: Could not get/set settings from/on resource. Additional debug info: gstalsasink.c(510): set_hwparams (): /GstPlayBin2:playbin20/GstPlaySink:playsink0/GstBin:abin/GstBin:bin0/GstAlsaSink:alsasink0: Rate doesn't match (requested 24000Hz, get 0Hz) ERROR: pipeline doesn't want to preroll. Setting pipeline to NULL ... Freeing pipeline ... The podcast mp3 can be obtained from http://feeds.themoth.org/~r/themothpodcast/~5/ptf5B4fDNSc/moth-podcast-217-barbara-wiener.mp3 It looks like the rate is not converted properly, can someone please check that? tHANKS
What's the output of $ gst-inspect-0.10 alsasink | grep Version ? I believe this should be fixed in the latest gst-plugins-base release (0.10.36)
it's version 0.10.32 I had a similar issue before with a 88200 Hz file, and that got resolved...does the same fix address this issue (24000 Hz) as well? here is the link https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=667917
Yes, it looks like the same issue. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 667917 ***
