GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 672506
When no accounts are enabled at startup, window flashes welcome screen then goes blank
Last modified: 2012-03-22 13:25:15 UTC
See attached video. Note that closing and reopening the Empathy contact list window will not show the welcome screen, but disabling and re-enabling an account will.

Latest releases of Empathy don't have the account wizard any more. Instead empathy-accounts is supposed to be started. Which version are you using? Is empathy-accounts crashing?
(In reply to comment #2) > Latest releases of Empathy don't have the account wizard any more. Instead > empathy-accounts is supposed to be started. Which version are you using? Is > empathy-accounts crashing? I'm using 3.3.92; what I see is not the wizard, is just a "You have no accounts configured" background in the main contact list.

Oh right, I've been confused by "welcome screen" in the title. :) I can reproduce, thanks for the bug.

+1
Thanks, I'll ask for a hard code freeze exception.
