Description Allan Day 2012-03-08 14:19:18 UTC
gnome.org can be translated using po files in the Git repository, but it is yet to be hooked up to damn lies.

This is the final piece we need to make gnome.org fully translatable.
Comment 1 André Klapper 2012-03-08 15:32:17 UTC
Note to myself: gnome.org repository = gnomeweb-wp
Comment 2 Vinicius Depizzol 2012-03-08 16:38:13 UTC
André, in fact, http://gnome.org repository got reorganised recently and is now located at gnome-web-www.

Inside this repository there's also the wptest branch, which applies the test changes to http://wptest.gnome.org.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2012-03-08 16:49:33 UTC
Vinicius:
Ooookay. Sorry, haven't followed webhackers debates.

In case you know, what is the status of git repositories such as
* http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnomeweb-plone/log/ - dead as hell and should be archived I guess as we went for WP instead of Plone?
* http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-web-wppo/ - is that a helper repo for localizing strings in gnome-web-www?
* http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnomeweb-wp - is that completely dead then, or are some parts still live?
* http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnomeweb-wml/ - is the www.gnome.org subdirectory completely dead, or are some parts still used of it?

I assume I have said this before, but documenting this on a wikipage would make it a little bit easier to contribute. Currently I'm just highly confused...

Allan: Sorry for hijacking this report a bit.
Comment 4 Vinicius Depizzol 2012-03-08 17:03:36 UTC
Sorry for the lack of documentation on this :/

- gnomeweb-plone is dead as hell;
- gnome-web-wppo is the helper repo for the translation plugin that's coming live soon
- gnomeweb-wp is dead. everything got properly migrated already.
- gnomweb-wml seems still to have some active things, like projects.g.o and not-sure-what-else.

There has been an effort to document the current setup for gnome.org:

 * https://live.gnome.org/GnomeWeb/
 * http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-web-www/tree/README
Comment 6 André Klapper 2012-03-08 18:39:25 UTC
Vinicius: Thanks. I've filed bug 671674.
And now back to the usual program.
Comment 7 Andreas Nilsson 2012-03-08 19:25:29 UTC
gnome.org/friends also still lives in gnomeweb-wml
Comment 8 Vinicius Depizzol 2012-03-08 20:06:34 UTC
André: thanks!

Regarding this bug itself, I already got in contact with Claude Paroz (damned-lies maintainer) and I'll set up wptest.gnome.org with the translation system activated soon to help him testing the d-l integration.
Comment 9 Frederic Peters 2012-08-12 18:28:10 UTC
http://l10n.gnome.org/module/gnome-web-www/ now exists on damned-lies and there are up-to-date translations in gnome-web-www/po/ but no trace of them on www.gnome.org; is there anything missing?
