GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 671333
files-disc-write.page needs updating -->(The Blank CD/DVD-R Disc window does not appear on GNOME Shell)
Last modified: 2012-03-25 00:03:26 UTC
Created attachment 208977 [details] a screenthot of the notification In the files-disc-write.page, the gnome-help says "In the Blank CD/DVD-R Disc window that appears, select CD/DVD Creator and click OK." But the Blank CD/DVD-R Disc window does not appear on GNOME Shell. The Blank CD/DVD-R Disc NOTIFICATION appears instead (I've attached the screenshot). And The notification does not have the "OK" button. It has only the "Open with CD/DVD Creator" and "Eject" buttons. In deed, in the fallback-mode the window seems to appear. However the description on GNOME Shell should be more important than that of fallback-session.
This page is currently marked outdated for 3.4.0: <revision pkgversion="3.4.0" date="2012-02-19" status="outdated"/> It just needs to be updated.
Can Jiro or someone rewrite the steps to take if you click on the "Open with CD/DVD Creator" button? I have only one CD/DVD writer in the place and it's unresponsive in GNOME 3.3.92 under a couple of distros.
Created attachment 210527 [details] [review] a patch to update I rewrote the page. Please review it.
Review of attachment 210527 [details] [review]: Looks good except for a couple of letters reversed in "notification." Please push and close the bug.
