I am using Spreadsheet 1.10.16 windows vista.

Whenever I cut some cells, this is what takes place:
(1) they disappear
(2) I cannot delete the command
(3) In order not to lose my work I have to close my work without saving it.

You are probably running some kind of misbehaving clipboard manager.

Note that the missing undo of cut was fixed 2011-07-12.

In the past whenever we had this effect we were able to track it down to a clipboard manager. Obviously you ae not running xfce4-settings-helper but something similar.
