Description nurfuernews 2012-02-02 18:18:39 UTC
It should be possible to prevent evince from automatically reloading a file which has changed on the disk.

This behavior is needed because sometimes the user wants to manually reload the file (lets say the pdf file) so that he or she can easily see the difference between the old and the new file version.

This behavior should be switched off by default, but it should be possible to activate this behavior by switching it on in the "view"-menu entry.

Which evince version is this about?
Comment 2 nurfuernews 2012-02-02 20:23:07 UTC
I'm using version 2.32.0 (the current stable version in the official gentoo tree) but a developer in the IRC channel said the issue regards also higher versions.

I've added a gsetting to enable/disable auto-reload. It's enabled by default, you can disable it with:

$ gsettings set org.gnome.Evince auto-reload false
