GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 668821
When closing a window, keep other windows from the app on top
Last modified: 2012-01-27 11:24:26 UTC
When a window is switched to, all other windows from the same app are raised too. So far, so good. But when the window is closed, windows that were temporarily raised are moved put to their original position in the stack. This creates very surprising results, especially when closing "child" windows that are associated with a main app window. Scenario: - Browse a Web page. - Open calendar in the top bar, click "Open calendar". - Add an event into Evolution's calendar. - Notice you want an information that's on the Web page, so switch back to the browser. - Go to the calendar event window again, fill it, close. - The Evo calendar window suddenly gets pushed behind the Web browser: you can't close it without switching to it first. This also happens when you write a mail.
