Description Fabian Greffrath 2011-12-23 11:43:54 UTC
Hi,

I find it annoying that whenever I play back a DVD I have to manually skip through the multitude of animated film-studio logos, legal avice and trailers before reaching the actual DVD menu for the movie. I would love if Totem could directly jump to the DVD menu whenever a DVD is played back. It shoud, however, be possible to enable or disable this feature.

If you're using the resindvd GStreamer element (which you should be) to play DVDs, it already attempts to do a ‘fast start’ and skip to the DVD menu. This is only a heuristic, though, so sounds like it isn't working in this case.

If you could provide some details of the DVD it isn't working on to the GStreamer developers in bug #652358, it might be possible to fix resindvd. Thanks.
