I use Fedora 16. 

I'm do not use Gnome for the default desktop environment. 

But many applications like Firefox or Gimp bases on gtk, because I've to deal with some impossibly decision of the Gnome developers: 

The gtk - file open / save dialogue used to open the last directory or the home directory over years. Now it jumps to "Recently Used" each time. 

I don't use zeitgeist. I never missed it! And I,will not think to use it! I'm not open the same/recently files again and again. (How would do this?) If you deal with long file system paths, it's really annoying if you need to click along the same path again and again and again. 

Pleas, would it be possibility to move back to the old behaver? May you could add some settings to the open / save dialogue to edit it's default behaver.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

As a side note: the recently used functionality is not using Zeitgeist, but it's using a freedesktop shared spec.
