misplaced box

if i use the "switch windows directly" shortcut ctrl+alt+escape then it draws a black outline to highlight the window i am switching to. but it often draws the box in the wrong place. This is also sometimes some other graphical artefacts when using it, showing parts of windows in the wrong place.
