Description Gunter Königsmann 2011-10-30 10:45:04 UTC
I already had a big audiobooks library when I installed banshee so I just told banshee where my audiobooks library is - but the files that are already in this directory won't be added automatically to the audiobooks library.and there does not seem to be an option to tell banshee to do so.

Currently the only way to add files to to he audiobooks lib rary seems to be manually importing to the music library and then to manually move them to the audiobooks lib from there. But for a real big library that does not really ssem to be an option.

There is some wider debate and experimental patches for handling this in the following bug. It does seem that a lot of work is needed to handle these situations smoothly for all our sources such as Audiobooks, Podcasts, etc.

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
