Screenshot of the problem in Sound Juicer

This also affects other applications in GNOME 3 that use the optical drive, including Sound Juicer. I am filing this report here because I could not determine any other category to file it under.

Selecting an optical drive from the list of drives presented in a drop-down box actually selects the drive for use but when the drop-down box is in a closed state the selection is not displayed to the user. The closed box remains empty without any text. When the menu is dropped down the list of drives and the current selection appear correctly, but the name of the selected drive disappears when the box is closed again. This occurs only in GNOME 3, not in GNOME 2. The bug does not affect the working of the applications in any way. I have not checked this on systems with multiple optical drives.

I can confirm this using Brasero 3.2.0, but it has been fixed in the development version, see commit http://git.gnome.org/browse/brasero/commit/?id=f9d1053a648110efbeb02bee6ee162eaaa809306. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.

Glad to know that. Thanks for the update.

I wanted to file a similar report as I found this one. Are you sure it is fixed? I cannot remember any gtk3 based brasero release where this was working, neither in 3.3.x nor current master.

I'll reopen this based on the last comment, and will retest with the latest trunk as soon as I will have the time.
