Description Philip Wyett 2011-10-23 16:55:06 UTC
Epiphany should not lock users to google or any search provider for that matter. I would wish a settings box/tab/whatever, where I add the url for the search provider I choose.

Like I commented on a different bug (can't find that one back right now):

Because Gnome Shell supports Opensearch providers, I believe Epiphany should take advantage of that.
See http://askubuntu.com/questions/67660/is-it-possible-to-customise-the-search-engine-buttons-in-gnome-shell/72548#72548 for explanation.

I don't agree this is a dupe of bug 604087 because this one doesn't ask for a gconf key but for an option in the GUI. I suggest that the reporter cc himself on bug 329652 instead.
