GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 661382
Reading up whole document does not work on some pages in Firefox.
Last modified: 2011-10-13 19:40:15 UTC
Since update to Gnome and orca3.2, I am not able to read up the whole document with tts on some pages (or parts of those pages) in Firefox. I wasn't able to figure out in which cases this happens. When pressing the according keystroke, the focus just stays where it was before and there is no further reaction. An example: parts of http://www.jungewelt.de/2011/10-10/056.php My distro: Arch Linux with Kernel3.0 Firefox: 7.0.1-1
1. Could you please provide a full debug.out? Please see http://live.gnome.org/Orca/Debugging for a couple of different options for doing so. 2. Could you please download and try an earlier version of Firefox with Orca 3.2 and see if the problem persists there? I'd like to know if this is the result of a change made to Firefox. Thanks!
And, thanks to the full debug.out provided in bug 661380, this is yet another result of the dreaded UnicodeDecodeError that resulted as a side effect of the introspection conversion. We've caught most of these errors, but there are a few trickling in still I'm afraid. I should have this one fixed tomorrow. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 659122 ***
