Description Marcus Moeller 2011-09-26 13:39:58 UTC
I have added a Google Account and activated Calendar sync.

The calendar is shown correctly in Evolution after entering the password but i cannot add new items to it.

After restarting Evolution, it works correctly.

The strange thing is that I do not had to re-enter the password, even if I said not to store it, before.

Which exact version is this about?
Comment 2 Marcus Moeller 2011-09-29 11:33:52 UTC
3.2.0

Thanks for a bug report. It seems to work for me, mostly, except I do not see the calendar account if I add the Online Account before evolution is running (that's covered by bug #660721), but without that I'm asked to enter an email account, which is not correct (and part of the other bug).

After quite some "try to reproduce" I saw it only once. I had configured online accounts, but they were not shown in evolution, neither in mailer, nor contacts nor calendar. Then, after some other playing the calendar appeared, I entered it the password, but no events were shown, thus neither adding did anything visually. Interestingly, the added event was shown the next start of evolution.

I was unable to reproduce it again. I believe it's related to that strange "accounts not shown" issue, which might be fixed with the above bug, thus it would be good to retest this when that bug is fixed.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
