GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 656313
Search doesn't remind most used applications
Last modified: 2011-08-18 13:16:03 UTC
I know the summary isn't very descriptive but I can't think of anything better right now. What I mean is that, when you do a search in the shell, it always shows results in the same order, no matter if you've done the same search before and for example you've always clicked on the second application. That application will always appear in the second position. I think some kind of algorithm should be implemented so results are ordered by frequency of use.
I'd point out that the shell already tracks application usage. We just need to use the data in the search system.
