GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 654136
Character getting cut off
Last modified: 2012-01-08 02:34:59 UTC
Created attachment 191433 [details] screenshot for last character getting cut when in italics and justified. When using a textbox input do the following: 1. Type a paragraph (multi-line) 2. the font should be in italics 3. the text should be justified (filled) The top part of the last character of each line will get cut off by the text box.
Seems to work for me with GIMP 2.6.11 (and most likely a more recent Pango, too - that's the font rendering library). Can you upgrade and try again?

I upgraded to gimp 2.6.11. Still have the same problem. I have tried it on 2 machines - both have the same problem. I have libpangomm-1.4-1. My system is up-to-date for the long term release, Ubuntu 10.04. I have attached another screenshot. Thanks.
I tested it a little more. I duplicated the layer and resized the text box (still leaving it big enough for the text to fit in). It seems that it happens for width within some specific range. attaching another screenshot. Sorry for the multiple posts, i thought this might be helpful.
