Hi,
since gnome3 I am not able to change the the delay or acceleration of keyrepeat (I am not sure how this is called in english because I have a german ubuntu).

Also, I was able to change the keyboard handler in gnome2 (I have a logitech g110 which hast macrokeys. libg15daemon was able to handle this quite well but therefore I need to change the daemon which handles the keyboard) but this option is not available any more.

If you need any more information don't hesitate, it would be a pleasure to help you guys :)

Changing the keyboard handler? I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't think we ever had anything like that in GNOME, ever.

You'll have to be more specific than that if you want us to help.

Keyboard setting app with missing sliders
Comment 5 colin 2011-07-20 17:24:34 UTC
Happening for me as well. The sliders are missing for the delay/speed values. I've actually had this happen on two computers. I've attached a screenshot.

We just upgraded to Fedora 15/GNOME 3 and we are seeing the same problem here. Fortunately, I was able to make the changes with dconf-editor/gsettings. The appropriate schema is org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.keyboard, and the keys are delay and repeat-interval.
Comment 7 Rodrigo Moya 2011-07-21 09:18:14 UTC
IIRC, this was a bug in GTK < 3.1.8, so does this still happen if you install GTK 3.1.8 or newer?
Comment 8 Bill Wohler 2011-07-21 22:24:11 UTC
Sounds good, Rodrigo. We're currently at 3.0.11. I've made a note to write back once the Fedora 15 update comes down the pike.

I'm assuming this to be OBSOLETE. Please reopen if this is not the case. Thanks.
