Description sunshine_uyl 2011-06-29 00:57:38 UTC
I play video file with avs2 codec. But I encounter Unknown QuickTime node type avs2 issue. Does Gstreamer support avs2? The video file I played is as attached file.

No, AVS is not supported. It would be easy to add, as long as you have a decoder plugin and there are specs for the various mappings, such as ISO/Quicktime.

Dear David,

Thanks for your response. Do you have plan to support AVS in GStreamer?
Comment 4 David Schleef 2011-06-30 16:50:02 UTC
*I* don't. Other people might be interested, and patches are always welcome.
Comment 5 Tim-Philipp Müller 2013-02-08 12:33:50 UTC
Could you make a sample file available to us that has AVS inside a quicktime container?

(I'd also be interested in files with AVS-inside-mpeg-ps/ts, if you have any).

Ping? Does anyone have a sample file?
Comment 7 Edward Hervey 2014-09-12 09:52:47 UTC
fwiw, avs2 (in iso) actually means the CAVS codec.
