gobject introspection is a dependency of gtk+, as we document here: http://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/unstable/gtk-building.html or in our modulesets.

I don't think the m4 -> m4macros change is right. Those are two different things. The one is for macros that our configure.ac uses, the other is for macros that we are installing.

Javier, I think this fix caused bug 664233.
