Description Travis Reitter 2011-06-15 17:44:03 UTC
As discussed in the IM/Social/Contacts hackfest, we need centralized utility functions for converting these types of data to human-readable (translated) strings:

* presence types (already covered by bug #627403)
  * eg, 'available' -> _("Available")

* protocol well-known/vCard value to display label
  * eg, 'linklocal-xmpp' -> _("Nearby people")

* field name
  * eg, 'TEL' -> _("Phone")
