GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 651599
"AddPrinter" button is visible, but "RemovePrinter" is hidden in a drop-down menu
Last modified: 2011-06-21 14:47:51 UTC
Version: control-center-3.0.1.1-5.fc15.x86_64 In the Printers control, a button labelled "AddPrinter" is visible, but "RemovePrinter" is hidden in a drop-down menu. Perhaps the labels could be shortened to "Add" and "Remove" or dropped entirely (which is consistent with the other controls) so that they are both shown normally.
If you are seeing the labels, something is wrong on your system. The buttons are supposed to be icon-only, showing a + and - icon
Hi Gordon, does the problem persists on fully updated system? Do you see the problem on other panels in gnome-control-center (e.g. Background, Bluetooth, Network, User Accounts)? Regards Marek
A Fedora 15 system updated today still behaves as described. gnome-control center panels Keyboard/Shortcuts and Network also have lists with +/- controls with unnecessary labels. I opened separate bugs for those expecting that each panel had its own maintainers. Panels Background, Region and Language/Layouts, Bluetooth, and User Accounts all have lists with +/- controls that do not have labels. While I'm at it: "Messaging and VoIP Accounts" uses "Add" and "Remove" buttons inconsistent with other panels. New users on the system don't see those unnecessary labels.
