Description Andreas Nilsson 2011-05-31 20:14:49 UTC
The control center shell don't fit on a 1024x600 monitor.
Comment 1 Andreas Nilsson 2011-05-31 20:20:27 UTC
Some ideas for fixing this:
* Smaller font under the icons
* Slimmer toolbar by using less padding above and below the search entry.
* Make the label "Messaging and VOIP accounts" shorter (somehow). Perhaps by using "&" instead of "and" (if the docs people approve)
* Less padding above and below the icons
* Using color or lines instead of padding to divide the lines

What doesn't fit? If it's the overview, then there's a bug for that I'm pretty certain, and it wouldn't require any design changes.

Yes, it's the overview. I made a quick comparision of the mac control center (that uses a similar layout), and we're doing pretty bad compared to that. :)
