Description Pete Biggs 2011-05-27 08:49:42 UTC
Evo 2.32.2 / Fedora 14  & Evo 3.0.1 / Fedora 15

I have numerous IMAP accounts set up on Evo. If I go into the Sent folder
on any account and do "Edit as New Message" on a previously sent message,
the account that is used in the From: field is always the default
account and not, as I would expect, the account that the Sent folder is
in.

This is only on the IMAP accounts - using the Sent folder under "On This
Computer" exhibits the correct behaviour.

Creating a New message while in the Sent folder also behaves correctly.
It is only when resending a previously sent message using "Edit as New Message".

Same behavior here with Evo 2.32.2 on Ubuntu 11.04, using "Edit as New Message" in the non-default IMAP account's Sent folder.

Seems to work fine for me, with current git master (after 3.1.5 release). I do all the same as you.

Definitely still happening in Evo 3.2.2.

I have a work IMAP+ account (which is the default account), and a gmail IMAP+ account for person stuff, and if I go into Sent mail for the gmail account, open a sent mail, and do Message -> "Edit as New Message" then it puts from the "From" address as the work IMAP+ account.

OK, confirming. I do not know how I was testing it earlier :-/

evo patch

for evolution;

This fixes it. It changes default account only if not called from a Templates folder. I guess it makes sense.
