Trackpoint scrolling not functioning after reboot

After a reboot I have to go back to the config program. There the settings are correctly remembered. Then I have to turn it of and on again to have it working (actually I have to change the mouse button number to something else and then back again). Please let me know if I can supply further information.
Same here. Exactly the same problem. Not only the TrackPoint scrolling settings but disabling of the Touchpad as well does not stick through a reboot or logout/login (I only use the TrackPoint although the Touchpad is there). gpointing-device-settings hasn't remembered settings for some time now. I have started two bug reports at Fedora Bugzilla regarding this issue... Issued first report 10/12/2009 against Fedora 12 ( https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=528485 ). Found a workaround at thinkwiki using xinput and running a script at login from: /etc/gdm/PostLogin/Default - but this is not working in Fedora 15. Issued second bug report 06/15/2011 against Fedora 15 ( https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=713534 ). No action taking place at Fedora Bugzilla, so I am posting a comment here. A Google search using the terms| gpointing-device-settings reboot | will show users across multiple distros with this problem. Is it so intractable that no one can fix it?
GPointingDeviceSettings is not under active development anymore and saw its last non-cosmetic code changes in 2010. Its codebase has been archived: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/gpointing-device-settings/commits/master Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
