Description Ben Simonds 2011-05-01 12:46:10 UTC
Input with my wacom intuos 3 has become really shaky since upgrading to ubuntu 11.10. Tablet input (including pressure sensitivity etc) works fine in other applications (blender, mypaint, zbrush via wine), but in GIMP it stutters and fails to register some strokes. This is v. frustrating.
Comment 1 Ben Simonds 2011-05-01 12:55:59 UTC
Correction, Ubuntu 11.04.
Comment 2 Alexia Death 2011-05-09 12:10:54 UTC
I have intuos 3 and 11.04 myself and I haven't noticed such issues, but I do use the latest development version. Can you try to upgrade to a recent development snapshot? There should be PPA-s available that offer near nightly builds.
Comment 3 Alexia Death 2011-05-09 12:26:28 UTC
It seems there is a better description of the issue already present. GTK seems to be the guilty party when the machine is under heavy load. Issue may be lesser in recent snapshots due to optimizations in painting.
