Description mxyzptlk 2011-04-29 02:21:09 UTC
In the past under Podcasts, we could view sort the view by whether they were downloaded or not. This meant we could see just the old downloaded items, which made it easy to get rid of them, or we could see just the new/unplayed downloaded items without having all the other items that weren't downloaded cluttering the view.

Not sure why this functionality was removed, but it was extremely useful. Now with the new ginormous interface, where each episode takes up 2 square inches of screen space, it's really clumsy to have to sort through all the downloaded and un-downloaded episodes just to get to the few you might want.

Could some sort of downloaded filter be brought back? Even something as simple as typing a key word in the search bar would be useful.

I'd like to second this request. It is impossible with the current interface (version 2.6.0) to quickly find podcasts that I've already downloaded. Additionally, there should be a way to filter out downloaded podcasts from the view. I don't download every single podcast that I'm subscribed to - I pick and choose. Having these filtering options would make it very easy to see which episodes I haven't downloaded.

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
