Description Xavier Claessens 2011-04-18 11:47:18 UTC
I know the me-menu was not meant to set IM presence initially, but it has a chat bubble icon, just like the new empathy icon. For me that's a clear indication that the Available/Busy states there are for IM.

Either the me-menu should get another icon that indicate whatever can mean available/busy without IM, or it should prestart empathy and set that presence automatically. empathy --start-hidden option can be used for this, AFAIK.

I don't understand, the me-menu statuses *are* about IM; the "Busy" switch as been renamed to "Notifications" to make this even clearer.
Comment 2 Florian Müllner 2011-10-08 16:28:26 UTC
The user menu did not set the IM status when the bug was filed - it does now, so closing.
