#8 ?? #9 ?? #10 ?? #11 ?? The interesting bits are missing here. I'd suspect some ubuntu indicator patch, considering: `menu_proxy_module_load': /usr/bin/gnome-power-manager: undefined symbol: menu_proxy_module_load (gnome-power-manager:8213): Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to load type module: (null)

The indicator libraries are installed. But I get these errors from just about every gnome program I run: eog, nautilus, etc. But none of them crash. So it's not clear to me that they are related to g-p-m failing. Is there something else that I could install to provide the missing symbols? Or higher logging? Would an strace or ltrace be helpful?
Can you grab the gdb backtrace with debuginfo symbols installed please.
Can you please install debuginfo packages of gnome-power-manager, glib, gobject and provide us traces, tia. If you can reproduce it while running under gdb (see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/Details#gdb-not-yet-running for details about how to do this), that might help getting a better trace if you've already got debug packages installed.
