Description Adam Dingle 2011-04-07 22:10:48 UTC
It would be great if dconf-editor had a feature that let me search through the dconf tree for keys or values containing a given string. (gconf-editor has a similar feature and it's very useful.)
Comment 1 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2011-05-02 19:11:34 UTC
Indeed, a sorely missed feature from gconf-editor. Maybe what could be done here is to have a "filter as you type" search bar like gnome-control-center, that would filter down the entries on the left and right panes to show only what matches...
Comment 2 Jean-Philippe Fleury 2011-08-05 23:21:33 UTC
gconf-editor allows to search in key names and/or in key values.

It is indeed very frustrating to have no search feature at all, however Ubuntu already make use of the dconfig-editor/gsettings. So please fix this.

Thanks in advance!

I've added a basic search feature to master. It's a bit crap so feel free to open feature requests for improvements.
