GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 647047
Development manuals need improved visuals
Last modified: 2011-04-29 09:58:04 UTC
As commented here: http://blogs.gnome.org/johannes/2011/04/07/gnome3-for-the-developers/comment-page-1/#comment-800 Please do something about visuals. Pages like these are simply horrid: http://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/ http://developer.gnome.org/gio/stable/ http://developer.gnome.org/gdk/stable/ And a TOC at the start of ones like these would help lots: http://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/gtk-getting-started.html http://developer.gnome.org/gnome-devel-demos/stable/image-viewer.c.html The style of telepathy developer’s manual is much better: http://telepathy.freedesktop.org/doc/book/index.html Greets.
Suggestions. TOC listed full width in main display to allow 1 line per item Standard color for links, underlined on hover. black for description
Agree, moving to developer.gnome.org component so this may be noticed.
This was fixed with the following commits but for an unknown reason the site was not updated, I forced a full rebuild now... commit ac0a8be13c0a7c955f07d6d0b312b390eeb04ad1 Author: Frédéric Péters <fpeters@0d.be> Date: Wed Apr 20 15:58:58 2011 +0200 do not play with table of contents (GNOME bug 648221) commit 5be07d852d4d684a72c7256247037b09689c7dc3 Author: Frédéric Péters <fpeters@0d.be> Date: Wed Apr 20 15:32:33 2011 +0200 do not let gtk-doc table of contents be styled in orange (GNOME bug 647014)
