Description Frederic Peters 2011-04-05 06:53:28 UTC
Fresh Flower has been in the gnome-backgrounds tarball for some time but it was just noted yesterday it is apparently cc by-nc (as noted on <http://art.gnome.org/backgrounds/nature/1235>).

Also license information has been added to the AUTHORS file but only for the new files, other previous images may have the same problem as Fresh Flower.

And I don't know if it's required, but gnome-icon-themes has a COPYING_CCBYSA3 with a small paragraph indicating the reader how to get the full license text.

As a sidenote, http://blogs.gnome.org/theming/2008/08/27/new-backgrounds-for-gnome-224/ states that "All the backgrounds are released under the GNU GPL".
Comment 2 Vincent Untz 2011-04-06 16:31:25 UTC
Removing blocker status, as this is apparently fine (GPL). Needs to be confirmed, though.
Comment 3 Thomas Wood 2012-10-29 16:35:46 UTC
Fresh Flower was removed from gnome-backgrounds in commit 92d440d, which was available in GNOME 3.6.
