GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 646284
battery icon is a spaz when unplugging power cord
Last modified: 2012-11-22 21:22:28 UTC
When I unplug my power cord I see the battery icon: (each of these cause the status icons to all shift around) * disappear * reappear unchanged * disappear * reappear unchanged * disappear * reappear unchanged (very briefly) * disappear * reappear with the not plugged in icon :(
I cannot reproduce this on my system: removing battery instantly turns the icon green (battery-full) and pops out a notification. Plugging again turns the icon white with a lightning (battery-full-charging), with no movement of the other icons. Do you see anything in .xsession-errors, either JS related or from PowerManager?
Not happening here either
No problem here ... though I remember seeing that behavior a very looooong time ago. Jon, do you still have the issue? Otherwise this could be closed.
Not seeing this now. Now it just moves over a few pixels to make room for the charging bolt.
Then, the issue is closed at the shell level. I've opened bug 688898 with a patch for fixing the horizontal alignment differences of the symbolic icons.
