Here goes some log from the same error, which I'm also facing: -- [Info 00:44:04.786] Running Banshee Unknown: [ (, ) @ ] [Warn 00:44:04.988] DBus support could not be started. Hi. I've the same issue too, but I really can't play any music. I've tried to play music using double clic, enter key ans right clic -> play, and nothing. If I try right clic on the music, and open with Banshee, it's the same thing. Nothing happen.
I've forgotten the log file. Here it is: [Info 02:45:20.622] Running Banshee Unknown: [ (, ) @ ] [Warn 02:45:20.918] DBus support could not be started. Disabling for this session. Hi! (again) I've finally solved the no-reading issue. I have to copy and paste "gstreamer-0.10" from the GStreamer WinBuilds v0.10.7, Beta 04 installation directory to the Banshee lib directory. Next, I restart banshee, and right clic -> play work now. But it's always the same thing for double clic, nothing happen. If someone want the gstreamer-0.10 working directory, you cas download from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?f7dxovndf3hqqn3 (I haven't directly found it from the gstreamer website)
I've noticed this as well on 2.0. While selecting the track and pressing play or right-clicking and selecting play still works, double clicking on the track doesn't play the track.
I have the same problem and following kevins method I can finally play music again. But I get a windows dialog box popup on start up for every item in the list of dlls that I originally had here how would we make this go away.
Same problem. Banshee is playing mp3 only when i will install app and play the song. After i restarted it nothing happend when i pressed play / ENTER, double click on the song title. Kevin@ > I have to copy and paste "gstreamer-0.10" from the GStreamer WinBuilds v0.10.7, > Beta 04 installation directory to the Banshee lib directory. I already got "gstreamer-0.10" folder inside banshee\lib. It contain dll library. OS: Windows 7 x64 EN SP1, User Account Control enabled. Banshee version: 2.4.0
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
