GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 645637
bad description of backlight reduction
Last modified: 2020-11-06 20:13:52 UTC
This string: #: ../data/org.gnome.power-manager.gschema.xml.in.h:63 #, no-c-format msgid "" "The percentage to reduce the keyboard backlight by when idle. For example, " "if set to '60', the backlight will be cut by 40% when idle. Legal values are " "between 0 and 100." claims that it is talking about a reduction *by* an amount. But the subsequent sentence claims that this is a reduction *to* an amount. Which of these two conflicting statements is correct? This may affect a number of other sentences (list may be incomplete): #: ../data/org.gnome.power-manager.gschema.xml.in.h:35 msgid "Percent to reduce keyboard backlight by when idle." msgstr "Procentdel hvormed tastaturbagbelysningen reduceres ved inaktivitet." #: ../data/org.gnome.power-manager.gschema.xml.in.h:36 msgid "Percent to reduce keyboard backlight by when on battery power." msgstr "Procendel hvormed tastaturbagbelysningen reduceres ved batteridrift."
