GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 645628
Support gnome-shell's notification scheme
Last modified: 2013-09-22 16:53:05 UTC
See bug #630847 and http://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell/Design/Guidelines/MessageTray/Compatibility
I asked in #rhythmbox about those screenshots: (06:36:42 PM) moch: it's just a notification popup (06:37:09 PM) gabaug: moch: cool, thx (06:37:40 PM) moch: set the 'action-icons' hint and it'll draw buttons with icons instead of labels (06:38:03 PM) gabaug: nice, cool (06:38:14 PM) moch: set the 'resident' hint and the popup stays around after clicking on an action (06:38:30 PM) moch: that's about all there is to it (06:41:16 PM) moch: cover art isn't implemented on the shell side, I think if you just give it a path to an image file with the image_path hint it should work once that's done

FYI, I've added support for GNOME Shell notifications in the gtk3 branch: http://git.gnome.org/browse/banshee/commit/?h=gtk3&id=22df15d8 I'm keeping this open until it's merged into git master.
Has this been fixed cause I still am finding this an issue in Gnome 3 with Ubuntu 12.10...
The gtk3 branch has been merged in git master, so I'm closing this as fixed.
