GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 644980
gcalctool doesn't need Localized digits, it will not work under other languages!
Last modified: 2011-03-18 03:09:46 UTC
Ubuntu 11.04, Chinese Locale, zh_CN.UTF-8 The gcalctool doesn't work any more! Why the buttons with Arabic numbers become Chinese numbers now? It should not be translated, and it doesn't work if the users press the Chinese buttons. No one will use Localized digits to compute, do you? I've looked into the source code, we should not use localized digits in src/math-equation.c Please consider to disable the localized digits, here's the screenshot under Chinese. It is totally broken.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report. These were supposed to be disabled, see bug 632661. Note that they work in other languages, but not in Chinese.
