Description Christopher Yeleighton 2011-03-10 13:59:55 UTC
When I create a curve to apply to an image, I have only two choices: a freehand curve and a smooth curve. I need to apply a stepping curve (piecewise flat) and I am out of luck because there is no such option. Please help.

I think that's a question for the gimp-user mailing list: http://www.gimp.org/mail_lists.html

Reopening upon getting the following answer:

(Note that there are many answers in the thread that provide easy solutions; however, those solutions do not apply to the Curves tool at all.)

I am sorry, I have to close this bug again.

This is either a help request (which is not what we use bugzilla for) or a feature request, where the latter should be discussed on the gimp-developer mailinglist first.

You help us tremendously by choosing the right communication channel.

Thanks,
        Simon
