Comment 1 Andreas Frisch 2011-02-28 09:29:25 UTC
Oops sorry i hit submit too fast
so we got a file which stops in the middle of playback when playing with gstreamer
both on the dreambox with 0.10.32 and on the reference ubuntu pc with 0.10.30.
the quote above is the mediainfo about the container.

and here's the link to it:
http://rapidshare.com/files/450126294/Paris.zip

playback stops after 1 minute 32 seconds

with vlc it plays correctly,
mprobe mpeg bitstream analysis showed no problems in the file either.
Comment 2 Vincent Penquerc'h 2011-08-23 11:32:18 UTC
File appears not to be there anymore, but might likely be fixed by the patch in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429476.
Comment 3 Andreas Frisch 2011-10-04 06:02:18 UTC
salut vincent!
thanks for you patch, but we don't use mpeg2dec on our box. we have a hardware decoder sink element.
i've tried it again generally but it makes no difference with core/base 0.10.35 and bad 0.10.22 which we are using now.
also i've checked whether the problem also persists if i try the elementary streams seperatly using
gst-launch location file="Paris - Absturz bei 1,32.mpg" ! mpegpsdemux ! audio/mpeg ! dvbaudiosink
and ! video/mpeg ! dvbvideosink instead of using playbin2, but that also interrupts the playback too early. therefore i suspect the mpegpsdemux element.

i've re-uploaded the test file:

Comment 4 Vincent Penquerc'h 2011-10-04 12:11:27 UTC
Thanks.
Quite timely too, as after investigation, it turns out to be a bug I fixed yesterday.
