Description fritjofl 2011-02-22 15:08:20 UTC
When using the arrowkeys to move highlight from file to file, and when reaching the end of a row of files, nautilus used to jump one row down, now it doesn't. Is this a bug?

Hi,

thanks for your bug report. I assume you are talking about the icon view (there are no "rows" in list view). Could you add some information on how to reproduce? Are you just using the arrow keys, or CTRL+arrow keys? And what distribution are you using?

I'm asking because I can't reproduce here on 2.91.90 from git nor on 2.30.1 from debian unstable.

Thanks.

Very likely related to bug #642322.

Jupp! looks like bug #642322.

I do not know how to reproduce it. I'm talking about icon-view, but i have the same problem for list-view(can't continue throught one row to the next) I'm using the arrowkeys, and using ubuntu 10.04. Not too much to go on i guess :( i also use ubuntu 10.04 and nautilus 2.30.1 on my laptop, without experiencing this problem.

Just to be sure, could you check that the bug still occurs when logging in as a newly created user? If this is the case, we can try to find out what's the difference :-) Thanks.

When logging in as newly created user, the bug dissapears! I tried replacing all the files found with locate nautilus|grep home|grep 'user', but to no avail. This is strange indeed.
