Description Alexander Larsson 2011-02-18 12:29:47 UTC
If the lg console loses keyboard focus its hard to get rid of it.

This can happen for instance if you open up the overview while lg is visible and type something (will go to the search box). The only way to get focus back to lg is to click on the "tabs" or the "pick widget" actors in the lg console. Until you figure that out its basically "stuck".

the fix here is probably (1) it should be getting a pointer grab to keep you from interacting with objects outside itself, and (2) if it does see the keyboard focus go somewhere outside itself somehow, it should automatically close.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
