Downloaded and installed 2.4.0 over 2.2.9. Clicking through 'Tip of the Day' I came across the tip - 

"Warning!! This is a DEVELOPMENT version of GnuCash. It probably has lots of bugs and unstable features! If you are looking for a stable personal finance application, you should use the latest release of GnuCash 2.4."

I thought 2.4.0 was a stable release rev; if so this tip should probably be nixed.
