Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2010-12-30 22:41:08 UTC
It is annoying to resize the window each time I start the application, especially since the small initial size does not efficiently use the space on high resolution screens (1920x1200 is common these days). It is redundant and the user should not have to do this everytime.

Ideally though, the window should automagically figure out the best window size, not even requiring the user to resize it.

This might be a side-effect of bug #594088 or ubuntu's patches for it.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use.

By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME.
Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.
