GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 636334
Birthdays&Anniversaries calendar skips local address books
Last modified: 2011-05-17 00:40:31 UTC
Evolution 2.3.0 package in Fedora 13: local contacts with Birthdays or Anniversaries showed up on the local calendar when the appropriate checkmark was enabled. Upgrade to Fedora 14 running 2.3.2: BROKEN. Just to make sure this wasn't an issue in the Fedora 14 distribution, I grabbed the 2.3.2 source files from http://projects.gnome.org/evolution/download.shtml Compiled fresh and have the SAME issue. Then I grabbed the 2.9.1 source files and repeated. SAME issue. Also tried: a. Defining a new user on the system, go through the evolution account creation in that user account. Therefore I feel there is no issue with corrupt historical gconf or evolution files. b. Running evolution with CAMEL_DEBUG turned on. There is no debug output displayed when switching into calendar view, shutting off, and turning on the calendar view for 'Birthdays and Anniversaries', so nothing to report here.
Can you please check whether e-calendar-factory and e-addressbook-factory are running or not ?
e-calendar-factory was running. e-addressbook-factory was NOT running. I manually started e-addressbook-factory, then restarted Evolution. It made no difference.
