Description Niko E. 2010-11-29 00:51:54 UTC
It would be sometimes realy usefull, if GIMP hat a toroid edit mode, where like in Packman leaving one side one enters the oposite. i.e. if the current brush is partialy off the image, that part would be drawn on the opsite side.

Fürther more, it would be helpfull to draw the image as 9 tiles so one can see the seems.

An idial implementations would faciliate for both image and layer based toroid modes.

The motivation behind this are seamless tilling images, but the are probably more uses.

Hi and thank you for taking the time to do this enhancement request. However, the GIMP policy is to discuss enhancement request on gimp-developer and let them mature before filing one in the form of a bug report. I'm closing this as "INCOMPLETE". Please discuss this on gimp-developer, iron out the interaction design details, and then after that is done, we can document it in the form of a bug report. Thanks again.

It's a duplicate, actually. But don't get your hopes up, this is not on the current development schedule.

There's more discussion in the other bug that should be part of the gimp-developer discussion.
