this might be specific to the overview-relayout branch, perhaps not.
When right-click an item that is too far to the right, the bubble pops out to the right and become "invisible".

While bug 631537 will fix this for the application view, it is still a problem for the dash with RTL locales.

app-display: Popup menus to the left in RTL locales

The popup menus of application icons in both the dash and the app view
are positioned on the right of the icon. In the case of the dash this
results in the menu being displayed off-screen in RTL locales, so move it
to the opposite side instead.

This fixes the RTL part of the problem. The rest should be less pressing with the temporary padding Jon added (and the filter list which will land eventually). It still happens for search results though, so we need a patch there anyway.
