Attempts to print result in a blank page. Print preview attempts state "no preview available"

Which version are you using? (1.1.x is surely not correct)
Do you get a any print out if you select show gridlines and row/column headers?

The "preview not available" is surely bug 533795.

If your version predates 1.9.10, then the printing issue is likely already fixed.
